Power electronics & switch-mode technology

Power electronics is the technology associated with the efficient conversion, control and conditioning of electrical power from its available input form into the desired electrical output form.

Within the field of Power Electronics & Switch-mode technology, we recently research in the following areas:

  • Power converters for fuel cells
  • SMPS – switch mode power supplies
  • SMPS based on piezoelectric transformers
  • Digital control of DC/DC converters
  • Switch mode audio power amplifiers - Class-D
  • Ultra-fast tracking power converter for RF-amplifier
  • Radio frequency switch-mode power supplies
  • Power System in Package (PSiP) and Power System on Chip (PwrSoC)
